Biography

On the rise from the very start, it all began in 1996... Doing local and impromptu gigs in NJ and NY to throwing the first ever electronic music party at her university, William Paterson, to raise money and food for the hungry and to raise awareness about the underground music culture (Groove).
Setting her sights on her hometown, she moved on to NYC where she quickly began making a presence for her style of drum and bass at some of the hottest jungle/d&b weeklies in the area. Gaining two residencies (one early on and one later)—at Momentum at Leopard Lounge (one of the city's up andcoming parties currently on hiatus), and at Ether at Angel, an established party known for its eclectic mix of weekly featured DJs)
Winter is currently representing as a resident at Testpress Sundays @ Drinkland, and as a featured guest on rotation at Konkrete Jungle at Pyramid. She's also a co-founder of Sister NYC, the NY chapter of Sister SF. Most recently she's competed in and finished as third runner-up in Numark and Women Who Rock magazine's recent DJ competition.
Her talents have been requested alongside some of the most well-known DJs and producers in the UK scene: Total Science, Decoder, Profile, Kenny Ken, Perfect Combination, DJ Rap, as well as Stateside junglists Odi, Datcyde, Doomer, Reid Speed, I-Cue, Dieselboy and Soul Slinger, to name a few.
As she continues her journey into the musical unknown, her sets consist of drum and bass ranging from vocal stormers to funky dark-step. Carefully selecting tracks that ring of the soul, jazz, and house she grew up listening to, she's turning ears onto an infectious vibe while raising the heat on the dance floors.
