Biography

Lisa Silver always had a love for all kinds of music. She had a family member that was a dj, which peaked her interest and gave her an opportunity to practice. This was back in the day when being a dj was a completely male dominated field. She practiced spinning old 80s Freestyle and Disco. Music from artist like Stevie B, Lisa Lisa and the Cult Jam, Lime, Tapps, Egyptian Lover and Cybertron.

Some years later while listening to a radio mix, she heard a remix of "Children" by Robert Miles and felt inspired enough to decide she wanted to try her hand at music again. This time, Trance was to be her style. She was very heavily influenced by early Paul Van Dyk tracks, Ministry of Sound djs and many others. She followed the European trance scene and lit up clubs with her mixes of uplifting and melodic trance.

Over the years, she has continued to spin all types of Trance, but has evolved into playing other styles of music as well. While Trance continues to be her favorite, she has also enjoyed spinning Progressive, House, Hip Hop and other genres and is often booked to spin multiple genres at the same event. Lisa has no problem carrying an entire night on her own. She knows how to read a crowd and always knows exactly what to play to get the crowd on the dance floor and keep them there!

After years of spinning various genres all over the US, she's gone back to the Trance and House that initially inspired her. She continues to perform nationally, maintains weekly residencies and now also does event promotion. Lisa is also working on her own music and will be releasing some tracks in the near future, so be on the lookout!
